ManufactureNJ Apprenticeship Accelerator Program

If you listen to our shows you know that two of our big topics are about filling the skills-gap and apprenticeship programs. Today, I’d like to personally present an event that could help you with these challenges.

The Apprenticeship Accelerator Program at NJIT

This event took place Wed., August 23 – at New Jersey Institute of Technology.  The event is in partnership with NJ Advanced Manufacturing Talent Network, NJIT and Jobs For the Future.  We believe this program will educate you on how apprenticeship programs could improve your skills-gap issues. Throughout the Apprenticeship Accelerator Program, manufacturers from all over New Jersey will hear expert guest speaker’s talk about National Trends, and Opportunities in Registered Apprenticeship programs, and how a Dual-Educational Apprenticeship program in Mechatronics can be implemented.  You will gain first-hand advice from manufacturers who have apprenticeship programs, as well as individuals who are currently in an Apprenticeship program.  Additionally, you will find out how your company can start an apprenticeship program on your own or work along with the NJ MechaFORCE Registered Internship Manufacturing Program who will help you through the process.  All of us involved in this event are very excited and hope we will see you there.  Event Sponsors are NJ Career Connections and MFG Talk Radio.

The program is co-sponsored by the ManufactureNJ Talent Network, NJMEP and the Jobs for the Future federally sponsored program. This Apprenticeship Accelerator Program follows the morning M-NJ Industry Summit.

Below you’ll find the Keynote presentations as well as one-on-one interviews with MFG Talk Radio Host Lewis A. Weiss.
