New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) held its first annual N.J. State-of-the-State Manufacturing event attended by New Jersey’s leading manufacturing business executives and elected state officials. The N.J. State-of-the-State Manufacturing Event was held in two locations: in Trenton on Wednesday, March 29 and then again in Florham Park on Friday, March 31, 2017.
Through a series of formal presentations and informal networking opportunities, the goal of the event was to initiate and sustain a positive communication flow between New Jersey’s manufacturing leaders and the state officials they rely on to promote and protect this critical economic sector.
For the event, NJMEP partnered with New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) and the Morris County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC). The event brought together senior manufacturing executives that were interested in learning more about the opportunities and challenges that their business sectors face. In addition, industry experts discussed Workforce Development, Taxation & Fees and the latest in Environment/Energy. State elected officials were present to better understand how to keep the manufacturing industry thriving in New Jersey.
